Pelicans Solidify Forward Rotation with Josh Hart Re-Signing

Today the news finally broke that most New Orleans Pelicans fans have expected since free agency began: Josh Hart has been re-signed.

Adrian Wojnarowski announced the deal today on Twitter:

In four professional seasons, Hart has averaged 9.2 points, 1.6 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in just 26 minutes.

Last season in New Orleans, Hart posted a career-best 8 rebounds per game, which was much needed in smaller lineups.

He’s sure to be a significant part of the Pels rotation this year, adding to an already flexible wing lineup.

The Pelicans will hope for internal improvement from Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, but a leap forward from Josh Hart could be what puts them into real playoff discussions.
