On the Hundredth Day of Quarantine I said: “Let there be HoopSocial”

This summer, like many basketball fans around the world, I was glued to my television watching the NBA’s restart in Orlando.

The idea of HoopSocial was born in that leather recliner I sat in as I watched Bol Bol put up an exhilarating scrimmage performance.

In the coming days and weeks, there were several new names making themselves known in the bubble, and I needed to know more about these players.

First, I did what I do several times a day for various reasons: performed a Google search:

“NBA Twitter directory”

Nothing. Then I tried:

“List of NBA Twitter handles”

Again, nothing.

I thought this had to exist somewhere, but I just couldn’t find it.

It may turn out to be that I’m the only person who ever thought to Google that — but just in case I’m not, I created HoopSocial to be the solution I hoped for in the summer of 2020.
