Last season we got to see the Knicks in the playoffs, which for the fans, was awesome to see since the last time they were there was in 2013.
Since the re-signing of Derrick Rose and Nerlens Noel, this has some fans scratching their heads asking themselves, “Are they worth that kind of money?”
Rose signed a three-year, $43 million dollar contract to return with the New York Knicks. It seemed as if we saw the old Rose since he reunited with head coach Tom Thibodeau. We also saw Rose who couldn’t keep up in the playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks.
Can Rose stay healthy the whole season and the playoffs? Only time will tell.
Noel re-signed with the Knicks on a three-year, $31 million dollar deal. Another signing that had Knicks fans scratching their heads. Was the market that hot for Noel? The only teams that seemed to be interested in him were Sacramento Kings & Toronto Raptors.
Hopefully for Knicks fans, they get a dominant player as the one described to us as he was coming out of Kentucky.
It is always exciting to see the Knicks in the playoffs. Seeing the fans going crazy in MSG is good for basketball and for that franchise. With an already dominant NBA Eastern Conference, were these decisions the right to make in order to compete in the playoffs?
I would love to see Derrick Rose dominate like in his rookie season. Knicks fans can only hope this pays off.
