Alana Beard Leads Bid Proposal for Oakland WNBA Franchise

WNBA fans everywhere root for the growth of the game. With recent success in viewership, social media engagement, and search engine interest, the WNBA may be eying expansion soon.

There are countless markets that could hypothetically support a new team, but there needs to be willing ownership to actually make it happen. One of these cities, Oakland, may have just put together the perfect ownership group to make expansion a reality.

15-year WNBA veteran Alana Beard is leading the charge. She’s officially partnered with the African American Sports & Entertainment Group (AASEG).

Beard and others will be available for a virtual press conference on Thursday, October 28th at 10am PT.
